Enrollment Dates and Terms of Course
Students may start the first Tuesday of each month based on chair availability. The 1800 clock hours course required for graduation takes approximately 10½ months to complete for full time students who attend eight hours per day, forty hours a week. Attending the college on a part time basis for 1800 hours takes approximately 1½-2 years to complete. Part time schedules are available on limited basis and requires office approval.

School Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m-5:30 p.m. (with a 30 minute lunch break). SATURDAYS ARE MANDATORY.

Admission Requirements & Procedures
Each student must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, and must be at least 17 years or older by the start of school.
Each student must make an application to the college and have a personal interview with the director.
Upon acceptance, all students must submit the following to the college:

A copy of their birth certificate
Proof of education (Diploma, G.E.D. or a letter from the school attended)
A certificate from a licensed physician stating that the student has had a V.D.R.L. Blood Test
and that he / she has no contagious, infectious or communicable disease
Three current photographs of the student, size 3½ x 2½.

Credit For Previous Training
Credit will be given for previous barber training when approved by the Ohio State Barber Board,
and with an examination by the instructor to determine how much credit is to be given.

Advanced Training
Advanced training is available to licensed barbers. The barber is first evaluated to determine his or her
individual needs. In most cases, a minimum of 300 hours is required. Each program is specifically
designed for the individual. At the end of 300 hours, the student is evaluated again to determine if
additional training is needed.
